Partnering Through Education

TD Bank American Dream Scholarships

TD Bank is dedicated to expanding educational opportunities and encouraging individual growth for the students within our neighborhoods. The TD Bank American Dream Scholarships recognize the accomplishments of high school seniors who have demonstrated academic achievement and a commitment to community service.

Each year, TD Bank awards $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors enrolling in full-time programs at accredited 2-or 4-year colleges or vocational-technical schools in the United States - 225 awards for the 2007-2008 academic year.

Student applicants are equally evaluated on their success both in and out of the classroom. Scholarship recipients are selected on the basis of academic records, goals and aspirations, demonstrated leadership and participation in community service activities and school activities, work experience, unusual circumstances, and an outside appraisal. Financial need is not a factor.

Awards are provided for one year only and are not renewable.

Scholarship America, the nation's largest nonprofit educational support organization, oversees the independent judging and administration of the American Dream Scholarships on behalf of TD Bank. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, age, gender, disability, or national origin, and are equally dispersed throughout the TD Bank footprint.
