Supporting the communities where we live and work has long been one of TD Bank's core values. Our mission is to strengthen the fabric of neighborhoods, and improve and enrich the lives of community members by supporting local organizations. In particular, TD Bank is committed to promoting economic empowerment, youth development and community involvement.
Community Outreach through Volunteerism
TD Bank employees, our greatest asset, exemplify our corporate objectives and philosophy of "giving back" to those we serve. Each year, they donate more than 250,000 volunteer hours serving on boards, working in schools, and supporting local non-profit organizations in a wide variety of ways. Some of the associations we support include the United Way, March of Dimes, Special Olympics and Junior Achievement.
Financial Support through Corporate Giving
Each year, TD Bank also provides financial assistance for a variety of cultural and community events, as well as health and human services organizations. Grants are provided through the TD Charitable Foundation. Corporate and community sponsorships are provided by TD Bank. In 2012, we donated $15.6 Million through the TD Charitable Foundation, and provided $4.5 Million in community sponsorships to thousands of groups across our entire TD Bank, N.A. market.
Since its inception in 2002 the TD Charitable Foundation has awarded over $100 Million in communities from Maine to Florida.
