• Bank name
• Routing/Transit Number (found on the bottom left side of your check)
• Type of Account (checking or savings)

How do I sign up for direct deposit of my federal benefits payments?

To sign up for direct deposit of your Social Security, Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Veteran Affairs (VA) compensation and pension payments, go to www.godirect.org or call 800-772-1213.

When will my direct deposit post?

Your direct deposit posts to your account on the business day it is scheduled to be credited by the bank. A business day is every day, except Saturdays, Sundays and federal holidays. Should your direct deposit be scheduled for a non-business day, your deposit will be made on the first business day after that date. Funds from your direct deposit are made immediately available for you to use.
