Q: Do I need a U.S. address to open a TD Bank account?

A: You can use your Canadian address.

Q: Can I see my TD Bank and TD Canada Trust account information online at the same time?

A: You can view both accounts on the same web page through EasyWeb Internet banking. You will also have the convenience of accessing TD Bank Online Banking directly from your TD Canada Trust EasyWeb profile without having to log in a second time.

Q: How can I pay my U.S. bills?

A: You can pay your U.S. bills easily and conveniently from your U.S. -based TD Bank account with TD Bank Online Banking and Bill Pay.

Q: Can I make a deposit to my TD Bank account while I am in Canada or to my TD Canada Trust account while I am in the U.S.?

A: No matter where you are, you can perform a no-fee wire transfer over the phone between your Canadian and U.S. based TD accounts through calling the TD Cross-Border Banking Support Line6.

Q: Can I access my TD Canada Trust account from a TD Bank location in the U.S.?

A: You can withdraw funds from your TD Canada Trust account through any TD Bank ATM. Note that TD Bank staff in the U.S. are not able to access your TD Canada Trust accounts, and vice versa. However, we can help you set up your accounts for online viewing.

Q: How long do transactions take in the U.S.?

A: In the U.S., transactions may take a few days before they are posted to your account:

  • 1-3 days for ATM or debit transactions
  • 5-7 days for bill payments processed by merchants
