Small Business Administration

The Small Business Administration (SBA) is an independent agency of the federal government. The SBA was created by Congress in 1953 to help America's entrepreneurs build successful small enterprises. Today, SBA program offices in every state offer financing, training and advocacy for small businesses. In addition, the SBA works with thousands of lending, educational and training institutions nationwide.

SBA loans, which are guaranteed by the SBA, help banks lend to small businesses that might not otherwise qualify for a loan. TD Bank works in partnership with small business clients and supports them with loan decisions that are made locally.
