How do I earn points under the TD Ameritrade Client Rewards Credit Card program?

You earn 1.5% (1.5 points) per dollar spent on all net purchases. Net purchases are defined as new purchases less any credits, returns, and adjustments. Your account must be open and in good standing in order to earn and redeem points.
As an example: $10,000 spent in purchases x 1.5% (1.5 points)/per dollar spent in purchases = 15,000 points.

When do points post to my account?

Points are posted to your account each billing cycle based on purchases that post to your Account within that billing cycle. Any returned items, credits, and adjustments will be deducted from the points earned within that billing cycle.

How do I earn the 10% rewards bonus under the TD Ameritrade Client Rewards Credit Card program?

If you redeem your points for a cash back redemption into your eligible TD Ameritrade account you will earn an additional 10% rewards bonus. You must have an eligible TD Ameritrade account, which is open and in good standing, to redeem for a cash back reward and the 10% rewards bonus.

As an example: $10,000 spent in purchases x 1.5% (1.5 points)/per dollar spent in purchases = 15,000 points. 15,000 points is redeemable for a cash back reward of $150, plus the 10% bonus reward equals a cash back reward of $165.

The ability to contribute to an IRA account is subject to IRS rules and specific program policies, including those on eligibility and annual and maximum contribution limits. You are responsible for ensuring that any cash back contributions you direct into such accounts are in compliance with those IRS rules and specific program policies.

How can I redeem my points?

Points may be redeemed upon request of the primary account holder at specified levels for a variety of merchandise, cash back, gift cards, and travel rewards found at tdbank.com/tdaclientrewards. Specific merchandise, gift cards, and travel rewards are subject to availability, and include only those participating partners found at tdbank.com/tdaclientrewards. In order to redeem your points for cash back, you must have at least 2,500 points. All redemptions start at 2,500 points. Are there any transactions that do not earn points?

Balance transfers, cash advances, fees, interest charges, disputed and unauthorized or fraudulent charges, purchases made by or for a business or for a business purpose, account refunds, rebates, and similar credits are not eligible for points. In addition, any returned purchases will be deducted from the points earned.

Do points expire?

For as long as the account remains open and in good standing, points will not expire and there is no restriction to the number of points that may be earned.

Are there any restrictions on redemption of points?

Your account must be in open and in good standing in order to redeem points. If your account is closed for any reason, by you or by us, your membership in the Client Rewards Program will be terminated and the total balance of your accumulated points will be forfeited. We may, at our sole discretion, cancel, modify, restrict, or terminate the Client Rewards Program or any aspects or features of the Client Rewards Program at any time without prior notice. All interpretations of Rewards terms and conditions shall be at our sole discretion. In the event of any fraudulent, abusive, or gaming activity related to the Client Rewards Program, as determined by us in our discretion, we reserve the right to make adjustments to your Client Rewards Program point accruals, and/or to cancel your participation in the Rewards Program, and/or cancel your Account at any time. Points have no cash value except when redeemed in connection with the Client Rewards Program for a cash back redemption, and may not be used in place of payment of any portion of a required Minimum Monthly Payment or any other required payment on a credit card or other account owed to TD Bank. Points may not be transferred or assigned.
