Thanks for writing in TD Helps, Pamela. We're sorry to hear that you have lost a check and will be happy to provide you some assistance.
First, if you have not yet done so, we recommend contacting us immediately at 888-751-9000 to request a stop payment on this lost check. You will need the check number, exact amount of the check as well as who it was made payable to (if the info is available). A stop payment request can also be placed if you visit your local TD Bank Store, during lobby hours. For Store hours and locations, please check out: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Depending on your Checking account type, there may be a fee applied for a stop payment. Please note; fees are subject to change. Please visit: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt to view our fee schedule.
Also, we would recommend you to contact our Fraud Unit at 800-893-8554 for more options and information on how to protect your account. You can also view our Security Center here: http://bit.ly/1npPddy.
Let us know if you have any other questions. Take care!
