Thank you for writing into TD Helps today, Sue! We'll be happy to go over some possible options for receiving your rent payments.
From your message, it sounds as though you may benefit from using our Person-to-Person Transfers, and we'll be happy to introduce you to this feature. If you have a Personal account with us, you'll be able to take advantage of this service and for more information, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1h4ZIkL. Using this, you can request funds from another individual which may be helpful in this case.
If you're interested in using this feature, you’ll need to be logged in to your Online Banking on our website. Please follow this link which will bring you directly to the log in page: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq.
Once you’re logged in, you must enroll for Person-to-Person payments. To do so, you would select the tab that says “Person-to-Person Payments” at the top of your online banking screen. Then, you will be asked to accept a user agreement, review the fee schedule and confirm your email address and phone number. A text and email code will be sent to the mobile number and email address we have on file for you. Next we will ask you to submit both codes for verification to complete the enrollment process.
Once the enrollment is complete you’ll be ready to request money by clicking on "Request Money" and entering the requested information. You would then fill out the required fields and select "Next." A confirmation screen will appear. Be sure to confirm the information is correct. Once it is confirmed, select "Send Request." The sender, in this case, your tenant, will then receive a text or an email with your request for funds. After your tenant completes this request and sends you the funds, they will normally take a few business days to reach your TD account. Please note, that there may be fees for the use of this service. We invite you to take a look at our Fee Schedule here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt. If you choose to use this service, you do not need to provide your TD account number to your tenant.
This feature is available for most personal checking and money markets accounts. To use these services you must have an Online Banking profile with a U.S. address, a unique U.S. phone number, an active unique e-mail address, and a Social Security number. Please note, there are limits in place for your protection. For more information, read the Terms & Conditions at http://bit.ly/1pADlWD.
If you are not currently enrolled for Online Banking for your personal accounts, no worries! We have you covered. You may use our self-service option by visiting http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY to begin the enrollment process. In order to do so, you will need your account number, TD Bank ATM/Debit Card, your Social Security number and your email address. When you finish the enrollment process, you will have immediate access to your account(s).
Just in case you do not have the required information to set up Online Banking, or if you need assistance with the transfer feature, you may contact us 24/7 at 800-493-7562 to speak with a Tech Support Specialist. Upon proper account verification, we would be happy to help get you started.
If your tenant currently banks with us, they may also use this service to send funds to you, and for any assistance they may need, they can reach us at the number just mentioned. They can send the funds to you using either your email address or mobile number, with no need to provide your account information.
As one of our Customers, they are also welcome to use our free Bill Pay feature, available through online banking as well. They can sign into their online account as above and select the "Bill Pay" tab. They'll then be asked to accept the Bill Pay user agreement. Once accepted, they can then immediately begin scheduling their rental payments! Kindly note that payments sent to individuals are typically sent in the form of a paper check.
We invite you to take a look at our Bill Pay FAQs by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1gWIrp7. Again, if they need assistance setting up the Bill Pay, they can contact us directly at the number provided above or visit as at any local TD Store, during lobby hours. For hours and locations, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If your tenant doesn't bank with us currently, they would be more than welcome to reach out to their own financial institution for other options.
If you should have any questions, feel free to call us 24/7 at the telephone number listed above or visit us at any TD Bank location during lobby hours.
Hope this helps and have a great rest of your weekend, Sue! Take care.
