Thanks for reaching out to us today, Mark.
Generally speaking, each withdrawal, transfer, and balance inquiry made by a TD Customer at an ATM not owned by TD is subject to a $3.00 fee, which is charged by TD Bank the same day the transaction is made. The owner of the machine or network may assess a fee at the time of your transaction, including a fee for balance inquiries, in addition to any fees assessed by TD Bank. As you mentioned the Store you visited has free ATM services, which means that there will be no additional charge from the store as well. Please note that fees are subject to change.
We'd like also like to go over some options with you which may help you save money on fees.
First, you may start using your TD Bank Visa Debit Card instead of cash; it is safer, linked to rewards, and most merchants will accept it even for smaller purchases.
Or, you may get cash back when using your debit card at the point of sale; many major retailers and grocery chains will give cash back at the register without a fee.
We also have some deposit account products which will either waive non-TD ATM fees or receive unlimited ATM surcharge refunds. To view and compare our Checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/1oXjGgF or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help selecting a Checking account that is the best fit for you. To view and compare Savings account products, click on http://bit.ly/1g5vhXQ, or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM which can help you choose the best Savings account for your needs.
If you would like to change your existing account to a different product type to avoid future non-TD ATM fees or receive ATM surcharge refunds, you may call our Banking Specialists 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or visit a nearby TD location. For a listing of our Stores and hours please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this helps, Mark and have a great afternoon.
