I received a letter regarding an amount left on my account that it would be turned over to the State if I did not contated TD Bank due to no activity on my checking account within 3 years. I'm living abroad and wanted to know how I could go about having the money available to me

We understand your concern, Kelly and we'd be glad to point you in the right direction.
In order to reactivate an account that is currently listed as "dormant" we do require you to visit a TD Store during lobby hours. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
As you've mentioned that you're currently living overseas, we recommend reaching out to your Home TD Store to determine if there are any additional options available to you. You are able to take a look at TD Stores and their contact information here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you are unable to call them directly from overseas, you are able to call us directly and we'd be happy to connect you. Please reach us while overseas by dialing 856-751-9000 or you can call collect from a landline at 215-569-0518.
We hope to speak with you soon, Kelly and have a good day.
