I'm interested in the max funding I can use for a new account. For example, can I open an account with $3,000 from a credit card? Debit? ACH?

Thanks for your interest in opening an account with TD, Steve! We'd be glad to help.
Your initial deposit after account opening can be completed using any method most convenient to you. Feel free to schedule an electronic funds transfer from your current financial institution, mail a check, enroll in direct deposit; you get the idea!
If you haven’t already, we recommend taking a look at the accounts we offer. You are able to take a look at checking accounts here: https://go.td.com/2eQORxu and savings accounts here: https://go.td.com/2dIcnAw.
If you're having trouble choosing an account, you are able to use our Account Selector found here: https://go.td.com/2sx4N2E.
Once you're ready to open an account, you are able to do so online by selecting "Open Account," by calling us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or by visiting any TD Store. To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
Please know regardless of the method you choose, you will need a Social Security Number and a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.).
If you choose to open your account online, you are able to fund your account by entering your other bank's information such as your debit card/account.
Thank you again for considering TD, Steve! Have a lovely morning!
