I accidently deposited a check at the ATM Monday night around 7pm that was made out to Home Depot, and that was actually not signed (the check was my boyfriends and I took the wrong check out of his checkbook). The check made out to Home Depot that I deposited at the ATM was for $100, the next morning (Tuesday) I withdrew that $100 and about an hour later I realized what had happened and contacted my local TD bank and explained what happen. The teller explained to me that my balance would reflect the negative $100 I had withdrawn, plus most likely an overdraft fee and that they would just shred the check that was accidentally deposited. It is now Wednesday morning, a full 24 hours after I contacted TD bank and my account is still showing a positive balance and I do not see anything pending? When can I expect the $100 to be taken out of my account to correct the $100 I took out when I technically shouldn't have. Thank you.
