Thanks for joining us here at TD Helps, James.
Please understand that although we are affiliated with TD Canada Trust across the border, we are not the same institution. We do apologize for the inconvenience; however, your family members would not be able to make a deposit in Canada and have it credit your TD Bank account in the US.
If they wish, they may send the check deposit via Bank-by-Mail into your account. Banking by mail is simple, and easy. All they would need to do is mail the deposit to the address below:
TD Bank, N.A.
P.O. Box Number 1190
Lewiston, Maine 04243
The P.O. Box is checked daily and transactions are posted the same day.
If they need to Fed-EX or UPS a mail in a Deposit to us, they can ship it to the address below:
TD Bank by Mail
140 Mill Street
Lewiston, ME 04243
We recommend visiting http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ to learn more about our funds availability policy starting on page 38 to 41. Also keep in mind that the TD Bank is not responsible for items lost in mail. Here are some additional tips to consider prior to mailing a deposit:
- Cash should not be sent through the mail
- Payee of the check and name on deposit ticket should be the same
- Checks should be endorsed (and restricted "for deposit only")
- Multiple checks should be listed and a total of the deposit listed
- Enclose the deposit ticket, not the carbon copy
- If using a blank deposit ticket, please write the account number clearly
- Do not staple transactions
They can also send you the deposit themselves if they wish.
Another option they have is to initiate a wire transfer from their account to yours.
To receive an international wire transfer in US Dollars, please provide the following to your family member:
Wire to: TD Bank
Location: Wilmington, Delaware
Credit To/Beneficiary: Our Customer's Full Name (exactly as we have it listed on their TD Bank account)
Beneficiary Address: The address we have listed on our Customer's TD Bank account
Account#: Our Customer's full TD Bank account number
If they are sending the funds in Foreign Currency, please provide the following information instead:
Wire to: The Toronto-Dominion Bank
Swift Code: TDOMCATTTOR
Bank Address: The Toronto-Dominion Bank, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, M5K 1A2
For Further Credit to (Beneficiary Bank): TD Bank, N.A.
Swift code: NRTHUS33XXX
Beneficiary Bank Address: TD BANK, N.A. 6000 Atrium Way Mount Laurel, NJ 08054, USA
In Favor of:
Beneficiary Account Number: Our Customer's full TD Bank account number
Beneficiary Full Name: Our Customer's full name as we have it listed on their account
Beneficiary Address: Our Customer's address exactly as it appears on their account
Please know that we do not process incoming Pay Upon Proper Identification (PUPID) wires and they will be returned to the sender.
When sending or receiving a wire transfer, fees may apply regardless of the currency sent. For a full list of current fees including wire transfers, please review our most current Personal Fee Schedule here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
We hope this helps and please have a good one.
