I just recently filed an ACH dispute for my bank account because I had an unauthorized charge that left my bank account with a large negative balance. My paycheck comes direct deposit and I was wondering if that negative balance will affect my paycheck?

Good afternoon, KC, and welcome to TD Helps!
You have a great question.
Before we begin, we'd first like to take a moment to let you know that here at TD Bank, the security of our Customer's accounts is our number one priority, and we're so sorry to hear that fraud occurred on your account.
As you mentioned that this fraud occurred as an ACH, and involved your account number and not your debit card, a dispute should have been filed, and you should have spoken with one of our knowledgeable Fraud Specialist so that the appropriate steps can be taken to secure your account further. If you have not yet spoken with one of our Fraud Specialist, we'd like to recommend that you do so as soon as possible.
For your convenience, our Fraud Specialists are here to help 7 days a week, between the hours of 7am to Midnight, and can be reached at (800) 893-8554.
Additionally, we understand that you may be concerned with your direct deposit being successfully credited to your account. Typically, if an account holds a negative balance, once a credit is deposited to that account, the credit will be added to the negative balance. For example, if your account is overdrawn by -$1,000, and you receive a credit in the amount of $100, your account would now hold a balance of -$900. However, please don't worry! By calling the number mentioned above, we'll be more than happy to assist you with your direct deposit!
We sincerely hope this provides you with some peace of mind, KC, and we look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thanks for joining us today, and have an amazing Saturday!
