Hi--I'd like to add my wife to my account, but I reside in Canada (we have a linked TD Canada Trust account) and my wife is traveling in the US. She can visit an American branch, but I can only visit a Canadian branch right now. Is there any way she can be added to my American account without me being there in person?

It's great to see you here on TD Helps, Carlos! We'll be happy to provide you with some information.
Great news, you'll be able to add your wife onto your U.S. TD Checking account! You and your wife will need to visit any TD Bank location during lobby hours to sign a new signature card, and after proper verification, we can add your wife to the account. Please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores for TD Locations. She'll also need to bring two forms of ID with her as well. If your wife is a Non-U.S. Citizen, one form of ID must be a Non-US Passport and the second can be one from the list of acceptable forms of ID listed below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature
- Welfare ID with Photo
- State Issued Driver's License with Signature, no Photo
- Foreign Driver's License with Photo
- US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date
- Firearms Permit with Photo
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and please note that for security purposes, an account signer cannot be added without the process being done in person.
Let us know if you have any other questions, Carlos, and have a good one!
