Welcome to TD Helps, Jacqueline. We're sad to hear that you'll be leaving us!
First, we'd like to let you know that we are committed to your satisfaction as a Customer. If you have any questions or concerns about your banking experiences, we invite you to discuss them with us at a TD Store. Please find your closest Store and lobby hours here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you still decide to close your accounts, we do offer a variety of ways to do so. As you've mentioned that your accounts still have a balance, you may visit any TD Store during lobby hours for assistance in closing your account. The Representatives there will be able to provide the funds in your account either by cash or by Official Check.
Another option would be to request your account to be closed by mail. Please mail your written, signed, and notarized request to:
TD Bank, N.A.
(Home Store Address)
(Home Branch Telephone Number)
Please be sure to provide your account number so we may issue you a check for the remaining funds in your account as well as your final statement. If you are unsure as to which location is your Home Store, you can take a look at the link mentioned above.
If your account is a checking account, you can always write yourself a check for the remaining funds in the account and deposit them at a different institution. Once your account balance shows $0.00, you can call us directly for your accounts to be closed. You may do so 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000 for assistance.
We hope this helps, Jacqueline and if you have any other questions please let us know.
Megan K, Mount Laurel
