Hey Laura! Thank you for stopping by TD Helps and we appreciate you considering us for your banking needs.
When you are ready to open a joint account, both parties must be present at the time of the account opening and can visit any TD Bank Store. You may wish to add whomever you please as a joint signer for your account. It is not required for you to be related to the other signer on your account. For locations and hours near you, please visit http://bit.ly/1dOroWV.
Prior to opening the account, we invite you to view and compare our various account types by following this link http://bit.ly/1sW4DX3 or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help selecting an account that is the best fit for you. Check out http://bit.ly/SavingsCmpre for Savings account details and comparisons, and our Savings Account Selector Tool at http://bit.ly/1hXi2wF for a personalized account recommendation.
We hope you find our answer helpful and please don't hesitate to return to TD Helps if you have any further questions
