Thanks for joining us here on TD Helps, Eloisa. We appreciate you considering TD Bank for your banking needs.
In order to open an individual Checking account with TD Bank and receive a TD Debit Card, you must be at least 18 years of age. As you mentioned that you are under the age of 18, we do ask that a parent or guardian accompanies you at one of our nearby TD Bank Stores to open a joint Checking account. For help locating a TD Store near you, please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
To view and compare our Checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/1oXjGgF or check out our Checking Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help selecting a Checking account that is the best fit for you.
Please keep in mind that both of you and your parent or guardian will need to provide a valid form of identification such as Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc. and Social Security number. As you are a minor, acceptable forms of identification for minors includes; School ID (preferably with a picture), Passport, US Birth Certificate or Social Security Card. Please note that a Visa Debit Card can be issued for a minor at the Store manager's discretion.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us 24/7 at 888-751-9000.
We hope this information helps, Eloisa. Enjoy the rest of your night!
