If the transaction did not post to your account yet, we recommend reaching out to the merchant or company to see if they can grant you a provisional credit or refund. If the merchant doesn't cooperate and the item posts to your account, we can file a dispute upon your behalf.
Also, if the item in question was paid for via paper check or electronic check, ACH, and the item has not posted to your account, you should be able to place a stop payment on that item. There are a few ways you can do so.
The first way you can place a stop payment is through your online banking. If you're not currently enrolled for online banking, you may do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY . Please have your account number, debit card number and Social Security number available. If you have any trouble signing up, please contact our Banking Specialists, 24/7 at 888-751-9000. Once you're enrolled, please sign into your account, click on the Customer Service tab and select Stop Payment. Please be sure to enter the exact amount and check number to ensure that the stop payment is placed effectively.
The next option you have is to give us a call at the telephone number listed above. Once our Banking Specialists verify your account information, they'll be able to place the stop payment for you.
