My payments from American Express website bill pay using my linked TD Bank account have been rejected multiple times. What do I need to do allow AMEX payments through their website?

Good morning, Jesse, and thanks for bringing your concerns to TD Helps.
Based on the information you have provided, it sounds as though you are attempting to make an American Express payment, but are having trouble doing so using your TD Bank account. If this is the case, we'll be more than happy to help.
When direct debits, or ACH payments, are declined, the most common cause of this is due to the debtor accidentally coding the account incorrectly. For example, if you are providing American Express with your Checking account, but American Express is entering the information as a Savings account, this may cause your payment to be declined.
To determine why your payments may be getting declined, we welcome to call and connect with one of our Banking Specialist. They are available to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can be reached by simply dialing 1-888-751-9000.
You're also welcome to visit your nearest TD Store location to speak with a Customer Service Representative, during lobby hours. To take a look at Store locations and their hours, please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
We look forward to hearing from you soon, Jesse. Thanks again for stopping by, and please enjoy the remainder of your day.
