Hi there Ruth,
Thanks for getting in touch with us from overseas!
We appreciate your interest in growing your business with us.
First, we would like to tell you that any account signer can open a business account with us; however, this must be completed in person. If another signer you may like to add to the account will be within our footprint on the East coast of the U.S., they would be more than welcome to stop in and get the account started. Any remaining signers could be added at a later time once in the area (all signers must go in to a TD Bank Store together to update this). For information on our Store hours and locations please visit http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Kindly also note that your business must be registered in the U.S. in order for us to establish an account for you and this must be opened in the State in which your business is registered. If you have questions regarding this information, we have Business Banking Specialists available to help via telephone at 1-855-278-8988. As this is a U.S. number, if you're unable to call directly there, you can contact us from outside the United States via phone at 1-856-751-9000, or collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518 and we can transfer you directly. Or, you may also request a call from a Specialist! Please click here: http://bit.ly/K9iZ78 to fill in our form and we'll call you within 24 business hours. You will also have the option of setting up an appointment at one of our Stores when we speak with you.
We'd like to take a moment to let you know more about the account options available. To review the Business Checking options we offer, please visit http://bit.ly/1uCacgJ, or feel free to use our Business Checking Selector: http://bit.ly/1lGeYmw to make sure you have the best product for you.
When visiting a Store, you'll need the following documents to open the account: a valid photo I. D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D., etc.) and your Social Security number. The same identification would also be required for any other signers being added at that time. If any of the signers are non-residents of the U.S., they would need two valid forms of I.D. and a W-8BEN form. You will also need to bring the Tax Identification Number for the business, legal name, and physical address.
Also, please note that additional documents will be required for your business and this can vary depending on the type of business you have. We'd recommend that you discuss this prior to stopping in at a Store, either by speaking with one of our Business Specialists as mentioned above or by contacting your preferred location. The telephone numbers for our Stores are listed at our Location Finder as posted above.
We hope this covers it for you, Ruth and we've answered any questions you had. If not, please reach us at mentioned before, or feel free to reply! Use the button in the top right so we can chat again.
Thanks again for your interest and we hope to hear from you soon!
