I am a US citizen and will be moving overseas. I can see that the TD Ameritrade address change form lets you change your address to an overseas address. But are there any hidden ramifications?
I ask that since another major online brokerage that I had an account with just asked me to close my account -- a couple of weeks after I changed my address to an overseas address, saying it's their policy. I was given the explanation that due to increased costs and complexity to comply to some recent regulations they no longer allow accounts with overseas address.
I just want to make sure TD Ameritrade has no such policy for expats.

TD Ameritrade and TD Bank are related, but we are separate financial institutions. To best answer your question, we recommend getting in touch with Ameritrade directly. For your convenience, here is a quick link to their contact information: http://bit.ly/2cvFPFI.
We hope you have a great week, Siva.
