Good question, Lawrence. Thanks for joining us here on TD Helps.
Once a signer is added to your existing TD Bank account, he/she will have the same access to this account as you, including signing checks.
In order to add a joint account signer to an existing TD Bank account, both parties must be visiting a TD Bank store together. Please make sure both parties, including you, bring the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number. To find out TD Store locations near you, please visit: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 and speak with one of our knowledgeable Banking Specialists.
Thanks again for your visit today! We welcome you back anytime with any other questions, and take care.
