Thank you for joining us on TD Helps, James.
Knowing when funds will be available in your account is important for managing your money. We understand and are here to help.
When making check deposits with a Teller, the first $100 is made available immediately. If you are a new account holder and your account has not been open for 30 consecutive days, Check Deposits can be held for 7-10 business days for verification purposes. After this grace period, not only will the first $100 be made available at the time of deposit but the rest of the funds will credit to your account the following business day.
Deposits made at a TD Bank ATM before 8:00 PM on a business day are considered deposits made on that business day. A business day is every day except Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays. If you make a deposit at an ATM before 8 PM on a business day that we are open, we will consider that to be the day of your deposit. However, if you make a deposit at an ATM after 8 PM, or on a day we are not open, we will consider that the deposit was made on the next business day. The first $100 of your check deposit is made available to you immediately for accounts opened longer than 90 days. The remaining amount is generally available the next business day.
You also may use our TD Mobile Deposit feature if you have been a TD Deposit Customer for over 90 days. Using this feature you will generally enjoy next day funds availability. For more information regarding our TD Mobile Deposit including limits, please look at our FAQ: http://bit.ly/1e3jiYF .
You may also take a look at our Personal Deposit Account Agreement here: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ . On pages 35-37 you can find our Funds Availability Policy along with information about when you'll have access to deposits.
Hope this helps and feel free to keep in touch with any other questions.
