Good question, Kandi and thank you for stopping by TD Helps today. We're happy to help!
TD Bank Customers can purchase Official Checks with cash or a withdrawal from their TD Bank deposit account(s) at any TD Bank Store (lobby or drive-thru). To find out TD store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Official checks may be purchased for $8.00 each. Please note; fees are subject to change. For more information on the fee schedule, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt.
TD Bank Customers with the following types of accounts receive free Official Checks:
TD Sixty Plus Checking
TD Premier and Private Premier Checking
TD Relationship and Private Relationship Checking
Private Tiered Checking
50 Plus and Private 50 Plus Checking
TD and Private High-Yield Savings
TD Relationship Savings
Select and Private Select Money Market
Plus and Private Plus Money Market
When you purchase the Official Check, you can pay the fee by cash and if that is what you like to do, the fee will not be posted to your statement. If you choose to pay by using your Checking account, then the fee plus the amount of the Official Check will be added together and you will see the total amount showing on your statement as a debit. For example, if the Official Check is $1000.00 and the fee is $8.00, you will see a debit of $1008.00 once your statement is generated.
Let us know if you have any other questions. We hope you have a nice day!
