My husband and I would like to open an account with TD Bank but we have a couple of questions before we do so. We are retired and live in Aruba full time. Would the international ATM fees be reimbursed with the TD Premier account? What is the limit for ATM withdrawals?

We appreciate you considering us and are happy to answer your questions. At this time, we do have some deposit account products, such as TD Premier Checking account, either will waive non-TD ATM fees or receive unlimited ATM surcharge refunds. At TD Bank, we offer many different types of Checking and Savings accounts. If you're a U.S. Resident with a U.S. Social Security number and also a U.S. residential address within our footprint (Maine to Florida) you may open the account online or over the phone. To open your account online you may click here: http://bit.ly/1NyTNAX.
If you choose to open your new accounts online, you'll need the following: Your Social Security number, one of the following: Driver's license, State ID, or Passport. To make a first deposit online, you may use a debit card linked to an account from another financial institution, a credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or you can stop by your local TD Store to make a deposit.
There are 5 steps with series of questions you will need to fill in during this account opening process. The first step is the "Account Info", you will need to input the account type you are looking to open and whether you want a TD Debit Card or not. The second step is your "Personal Info". Here you will authenticate your identity so be sure your Social Security number and your Driver's license, State ID, or Passport are on hand for this step. Step three is the "Disclosures" where you will be requested to view and agree to the terms and conditions of the account type you've chosen. Step four is your "First Deposit". If you have a current account, whether it is with TD Bank or another institution, this is where you can transfer funds into the new account for the first deposit. Finally, step five is the "Finish" portion. Review your information and submit your application. If you run into any problems during the process or if you prefer, you could also give us a call.
If you are planning a trip to the United States in the near future, you may certainly stop by any of our Store locations in person, during lobby hours with a valid photo I.D. If you're not a U.S. Resident and do not have a U.S. Social Security number, you will need to visit a local TD Bank Store. You would want to bring two forms of identification with you and stop by a TD Bank Store during lobby hours to set up your new account. One form of ID must be a Non-US passport and the second form of ID you may select from the list below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature - State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature - Foreign Driver's License with Photo - US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date - College ID with Photo - Alien Registration Card with Photo - Permanent Resident Card with Photo
Please note, it is highly recommended to contact the TD Store you will be visiting to open the account in advance to confirm if any other information will be needed.

When calling from outside US, please dial direct 1-856-751-9000 or collect with operator assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 1-215-569-0518 if you are able to gain access to a land line.
Hope this is helpful and please enjoy your day.
