Thanks for considering TD Bank, Andrew! It's our pleasure to tell you more.
In order to open an individual TD Student Checking with TD Bank, you must be between the ages of 18 and 24 and provide proof of active student status. With that being said, if you're a student under the age of 18, you may open a joint Checking or Savings account with a Guardian or Custodian by visiting any TD Bank Store.
If you're over the age of 18, you can visit a Store with a valid form of identification such as a State License, State ID or Passport and your Social Security number to open the account. For the Student account, proof of full-time enrollment can be a Student ID or a tuition payment receipt.
If you're under the age of 18, your parent or guardian to be listed on the account will want to bring the same forms of ID listed above, and acceptable forms of identification for minors include a School ID (preferably with a picture), Passport, US Birth Certificate or Social Security card. Joint accounts may only be opened at a TD Bank location. Please check out: http://bit.ly/TDStores for a TD Store near you.
Just in case you'd like to review them, you'll be glad to know that TD Bank offers a wide array of accounts and we invite you to visit the below links for more information. To learn more about our Student Checking account, which includes no monthly maintenance fee or minimum daily balance for students under the age of 24, please visit http://bit.ly/S8Vejp. Additionally, the monthly maintenance fee is waived on a TD Simple Savings account when it is linked to a TD Student Checking account. Kindly note that student benefits expire after 5 years or on the student's 24th birthday, whichever comes first.
