Welcome to TD Helps, Theresa! We'd be happy to help.
Great news, neither TD Bank nor Visa charges any foreign transaction fees when you use your TD Bank Debit card! You'll also be able to use your debit card to make cash withdrawals internationally at any ATM Machine that displays either the VISA or PLUS logo. If you are unable to find a compatible machine, you will also be able to use your Debit Card to obtain a VISA Cash Advance. Please note that non-TD ATM fees still may apply. For more information on the Fee Schedule, please take a look here: http://bit.ly/1cTejgt. And, we invite you to review page 45 of our Deposit Account Agreement at http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ for more information about international ATM Card or Visa Debit card transactions and the exchange rate for purchases.
Please note, for your protection, TD Bank continually monitors your debit card activity, and we may decline any irregular TD debit card or ATM transaction that is attempted. If you intend to travel, we encourage you to give a Representative a call at 888-751-9000 24/7 so that we may note this on your account for you. You'll want to provide us with the dates and any other locations you'll be visiting when you call, so that your card will continue working as expected. You're also welcome to visit any nearby TD Bank Store for assistance, and please find your Store here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you've already left for Mexico, you can reach us 24/7 at 856-751-9000 via mobile telephone or calling us collect with an operator's assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 215-569-0518.
You may also send us a Secured Message through your Online Banking. To send a secure message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center." If you have not enrolled, please call us 24/7 by using the number listed above.
By placing a travel notification, this will help us be aware if we see foreign transactions on your account. Also, please be informed that for your protection we will continue to monitor your card activity even when a notification is set. We also recommend carrying more than one method of payment while traveling, just in case you encounter any acceptance issues. For more travel tips while overseas, please visit http://bit.ly/1gDrDYu. We hope this helps, Theresa and have a great trip.
