Welcome to TD Helps and thank you for sending us your question, Barbara.
If you are looking to transfer your own IRA from another financial institution to TD Bank, we recommend speaking with our IRA Specialists for additional assistance including all the necessary steps to make this transfer. They can be reached directly at 1-800-231-8193, available Mon-Fri 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM and Sat 9:00 AM - 1:30 PM. Please know that you're unable to transfer or rollover IRA from another individual's IRA account to yours unless you're listed as the beneficiary on a deceased IRA account holder.
Additionally, you may also wish to contact your tax advisor in regards to any tax related questions.
Thanks again for your visit, Barbara. Have a great day!
