I have American cash I purchased while the Canadian dollar was up and as I travel south can I purchase travellers cheques at a USA Canada trust.

Please note that TD Canada Trust is exclusively located in Canada while TD Bank is only found in the US. Additionally, we do not offer Traveler's Checks. TD Bank customers may purchase TD Bank Visa Gift Cards.
The TD Bank Visa Gift Card is FREE! Which can be purchased by direct debit from any of your TD Bank Checking or Savings account. Our gift cards are available in denominations from $25.00 to $500.00. It can be used anywhere VISA is accepted, even outside the United States. The Gift Card is intended to be used similar to a credit card. It does not come with a PIN, and therefore will not work as a debit, nor can it be used to withdrawal cash from an ATM. You may purchase TD Bank Gifts Cards at any TD Bank Store during lobby hours. If you are planning to use your account TD Bank Checking account while traveling outside of the US, we recommend placing Travel Notifications on your checking account. If you have not already done so, you can by calling our Customer Service Line at 888-751-9000. If you're setup for online banking, another option would be to send a secured message using www.tdbank.com and request the Travel Notifications be added to your account. To send a secured message you must first log on to your TD Bank online profile. On the left hand side, you should see and option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center”. If you are not set up for Online Banking, please visit here: http://bit.ly/1lU2qfY. Keep in mind that you will need your account number, Social Security number and ATM/debit card handy to complete the enrollment process.
If you need to call us while you're outside the United States you may do so by dialing 856-751-9000 or collect with operator's assistance from a land line phone by asking the operator to dial 215-569-0518 using your TD Bank Visa Debit Card since you can use both ATMs and Point of Sale transactions; even overseas!
