Prior to sending money using Xoom or Western Union, how much will be the transfer fee (aside from the money transfer services mentioned before list $4.99) using my TD checking account?

Thank you so much for joining us on TD Helps, Camille. We have many options that you may use to transfer funds.
You have the option of transferring funds to other people, regardless of institution. Through Online Banking you may access the Person-to-Person Payment feature which will allow you to send funds from your TD Bank account to someone else's account at another Financial Institution. You have two delivery options when sending a Person-to-Person payment. There is the three business day option; which has a fee of $1.00. You also have the option to send the payment with the next business day delivery; which has fee of $7.00. Please note, the next day delivery option is not available for savings accounts. To qualify for the next day delivery option, you must wait 90 days from your first successful three day transfer and must not have had any transactions that overdrew your account in the past 90 days.
If you're looking to transfer funds from your TD Bank account to an account that you have at a different Financial Institution, you will have the option of sending an External Transfer. Similar to the Person-to-Person transfer option, you will also have two delivery options with external transfers as well, three day or next day delivery. For the three day option, the fee is $3.00 whereas; next day delivery has a fee of $7.00. Again, the next day delivery option will become available to you after 90 days of your first successful three day transfer and your account must be without any overdrafts in the past 90 days. If you choose either of these services, you must first be enrolled in Online Banking.
If you are transferring between two of your own TD Checking accounts, there is no fee applied for moving the funds. However, if you are transferring from a TD Savings account to a separate TD account there is a limit of six transfers you can make from your Savings account per month before a fee is assessed. If you are not currently enrolled for Online Banking, you may complete the process by visiting here: http://go.td.com/1lU2qfY. To complete the enrollment process, you will need your account number, ATM/Visa Debit Card number, Social Security number and email address. We recommend checking with the other financial institution to ensure no other additional information is required.
Another transfer type available to you is wire transfers. You can send wires to any bank within the country and around the world. If you are making a transfer within the US, you will need to gather the name, address and ABA routing number of the receiving bank, the name of the account to be credited, the beneficiary address and the account number. Sending an international wire is a little different than one within the US. To send an international wire all you need is: - The full name, address, including city, state/province, country and account number of the person/business (for Euro Zone countries – IBAN – International Banking Account Number) you are sending money to - The full name and address, including city, state/province and country of the financial institution receiving the funds - The amount and currency of the transfer. Keep in mind also that depending on the currency you are sending, some transactions may take longer than others. You may want to contact the other financial institution to determine what information they require to receive the wire.
