Welcome to TD Helps, Patricia. We'd be glad to help you check your balance.
First, the easiest way to check your balance is by using our automated IVR system 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000. The first time you call the automated system, it will prompt you to enter either your account number or your TD Bank VISA Debit Card number. After that, it will ask you to confirm the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number. After entering your SSN, you will then be asked to create a unique 4 digit Phone Code to use for future access in the IVR system. This Phone is independent of the PIN associated with your VISA Debit Card. Some tips to remember when creating your Phone Code:
- Create something unique that will be hard for others to guess
- Choose numbers that you can remember, but do not easily relate back to you (i.e. birthdates, addresses, phone numbers, etc.)
- You should not continue to use the last 4 digits of your SSN
- We recommend *not* using the same code as your Debit Card PIN Number to prevent unauthorized access
You may find it helpful to review our Bank-by-Phone guide located here: http://bit.ly/1HuHfKI.
If you'd prefer to speak with a live Banking Specialist to confirm your balance, feel free to dial "0" while you're on any menu on the automated IVR system and you will be transferred to a live agent.
Another option to check your balance is if you've already enrolled in Online Banking with TD. You may log in to your Online Profile here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. Once in, the first thing you'll see is a list of your account(s) and the available balance in each. You are also able to use Mobile Banking if you have an Android or iPhone. To learn more about Mobile Banking please visit here: http://go.td.com/1hOPk1H.
If you have the time to stop by a TD Store, please remember that you can also inquire about your balance in person. You can find the hours of a nearby Store in your area here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Please know that we would like to assist you directly however, TD Helps is considered an unsecured forum and we do not have access to your account/personal information.
We hope these options help, Patricia and have a good day.
