With bank transfers is the money taken out of your account the day you send it or the day the person receives it ? For example if I get paid on a Friday and a bill is due that day. Should I schedule the transfer Wednesday ?

Thanks for stopping by TD Helps today, Charmaine.
If you are referring to TD Bank Online Bill Pay, we send payments electronically to payees whenever possible. If the payment is sent electronically, the money is withdrawn from your account on the payment date selected. If the company or person cannot receive electronic payments, we print a check and mail it to the address you provide. For check payments, the money is withdrawn when the company or person deposits or cashes the check.
If you are referring to Person to Person payments, the funds will be deducted from your account the following business day from the payment date you select. The funds will be available for deposit for your receiver depending on the payment speed selected by you.
If you have any further questions, please contact us at 1-800-493-7562 to speak with a TD Bank On-Line Specialist, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We hope this helps. Have a great weekend.
