If I open up a checking account can I use my TD Canada Trust Visa debit card to access my US TD account?

Welcome to TD Helps, Sam. We'll be happy to advise you on our debit cards.
We strive to reach across the borders and make banking as easy and convenient as possible. TD Bank N.A and TD Canada Trust are separate members of the TD Bank Financial Group. As they are located and governed by different countries, they are not considered the same bank.
If you open a TD Canada Trust account, you would not be able to access funds from a U.S. TD Bank account from a TD Canada Trust debit card. Take a look at http://bit.ly/1ET8gcv for a response from our friend across the border to a similar question.
We hope this helps and enjoy the rest of your day.
