Nice for you to join us today on TD Helps, Martina.
We're happy to let you know that we have some great Cross Border Banking options! Once your new Checking account is set up with TD Bank US, you can transfer funds between your TD Bank US and TD Canada Trust accounts free of charge. If you wish to, please feel free to speak with a Representative from our TD Cross Border Banking Support Line 24/7 by calling 1-877-700-2913, who can answer any questions you may have regarding Cross Border Banking. Also, we'd like to let you know that if you use your TD Canada Trust Access Card at a TD Bank ATM, we will not charge you an ATM fee. Please note, you are only able to withdraw US dollars at our ATMs.
We offer many different types of Checking and Savings accounts. With either method, we request that you provide your name, street address, date of birth, Canadian Social Insurance number and valid identification to complete the account opening process. When entering any numerical information online, we suggest taking out any dashes if you are indeed doing so to avoid any error messages coming back. Please keep in mind that your Canadian consumer credit profile will also be used to verify your identity.
Hope this helps and let us know if you have any other questions.
