Is it possible to have a cashiers check made out to yourself? For example if you were trying to move money for a large purchase from your savings account at TD to your account at another institution could such a thing be done? (Trying to avoid transporting the cash itself - a check seems safer)

Good afternoon, Se!
This is a great question.
Here at TD Bank, we offer both Money Orders and Official Checks to our Customer's, and at the time of your purchase, you'll be able to have the check endorsed to whoever you choose, even yourself!
When you're ready to purchase a Money Order or Official Check, we ask that you visit your nearest TD Store location, during lobby hours, and you're welcome to use the link here: http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR to find your nearest TD Store location, as well as their lobby hours and contact information.
It's important to note before your visit; however, that Money Orders can be purchased for any amount under $1,000.00. As you mentioned that you were looking to have a check created for a large amount, you may wish to obtain an Official Check. Additionally, we'd also like to take a moment to let you know that a fee may be assessed for the purchase of a Money Order or Official Check, and if you'd like to learn more, you're welcome to check out our Fee Schedule here: https://go.td.com/2lbbfGg.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, you're always welcome to connect with your nearest TD Store location, or speak with one of our knowledgeable Banking Specialist. Banking Specialists are here to help 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and can be reached by simply dialing 1-888-751-9000.
We hope this information was helpful, Se!
Thanks again for stopping by TD Helps today, and we hope you have an amazing rest of your day.
