I bought a gift card here in the US and wanted to send it to a family member for Christmas in the UK. I was wondering if that was a problem or could I buy a TD bank gift card from the UK?

Happy Holidays, Jean, and thanks for stopping by TD Helps for your answer. We are happy to assist you! We are pleased to say that your TD Visa Gift Card can be used anywhere Visa is accepted worldwide. However, we do recommend registering the gift card before sending it to your family member in UK. To register your card, you may start by visiting here: http://bit.ly/1pohT5P. You may also register your Gift Card by dialing (888) 294-2249 to speak with a Specialist available 24 hours a day from Monday through Saturday. Please note; to register your gift card for the first time, the initial password is the three digit security code on the signature panel of the back of your card. Also, we encourage you to change your password after signing in for the first time. Also feel free to check out: here http://bit.ly/1cIdAj6 to read our frequently asked questions.
