Can a POD account have multiple beneficiaries? Some folks live far away (Arizona). Do they need to show up in person to be a beneficiary to set up the POD account?

Thanks for connecting with us here at TD Helps, Susan.
We are glad to inform you that you are able to have multiple beneficiaries on a POD (Payable on Death) account. Additionally, Beneficiaries does not need to be present during the account opening process. However, the primary account holder will need to provide the Beneficiary's full name along with social security number and date of birth. You will also need to bring your Social Security number and a valid Photo I.D. such as a Driver's license, State ID, or Passport.
We also recommend connecting with the Store directly for any additional information that may be needed. Once you're ready, please feel free to visit any local TD Store and we'd be happy to help! Please see http://bit.ly/TDStores for TD Bank Store locations and hours near you.
We hope this helps. Have a great day!
