My wife and I plan to open two joint checking accounts for each to use as primary account with the spouse secondary as well as a joint savings account. We will each have our SS retirement benefits direct deposited to each of the checking accounts. We want them joint for survivor benefits, separate for individual fund management. State is NH

Thank you for coming by TD Helps tonight, David! We'll be glad to provide some information for you regarding your joint account question.
We invite you to take here: http://bit.ly/Wczmq0 for a list of checking accounts and here: http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9 for a list of our savings accounts that we currently offer. For a personalized recommendation for a checking account click here: http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU or if you prefer, we also have a Savings Selector Tool http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM ;which can help you choose the best savings account for your needs.
Once you've found the accounts that best suit you and your wife's needs, please visit your local TD Bank during lobby hours to open the accounts. Click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank near you.
Another option you have is to open the accounts by calling us 24/7 at 888-751-9000 or online through the links mentioned in the second paragraph. Please note if you choose either the online or telephone methods, the accounts would be opened in your name only. Your wife can be added to the accounts at any TD Bank during lobby hours with photo ID (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D.) Additionally, you and wife can manage the accounts with separate debit cards as well.
We hope this answers your question, David and please give us a call 24/7 at the telephone number mentioned above if you should have any questions. Take care and have a good night!
