My wife and I are Snowbirds and we spend six months every year in Vegas. We also have Canadian accounts but we would like to open American accounts and have credit card in America.

It's great to have you here on TD Helps, Mir.
If you are already a TD Canada Trust Customer, you may open a US Account via online or over the phone and we would be happy to show you how!
Before we begin, we invite you to view the many accounts TD Bank has to offer. Feel free to take a look here for more information: http://bit.ly/1ienPN4. On that page, you will be able to view and compare the different types of accounts, learn more about our Cross-Border Banking features and also learn more about the FAQs. If you need help deciding on which account works for you, we offer a customized recommendation with our Checking Account Selector Tool: http://bit.ly/KmmHe7 and our Savings Selector Tool: http://bit.ly/1hXi2wF.
Once you have decided on the best account that fits your needs, to open the US account online, simply select the "Open Account" box which is listed beneath each specific Account. You may also contact our Cross-Border Banking Specialists at 1-877-700-2913, available 24/7, for assistance with the account opening process.
Here at TD Bank U.S., we offer several types of Visa Credit Cards, for individual Customer needs. Please take a look here http://bit.ly/1bgHTLy to view and compare the types of cards we offer, and find one that may be most convenient for you.
As you're a Canadian citizen, if you also have a US Residential Street address within the TD footprint, you're welcome to begin an application for a U.S. Visa Credit Card here: http://bit.ly/1vJ8Oa9. Please note that if your Social Insurance Number is provided on the application, your Canadian credit history will be used as part of the application process; or, if your U.S. Social Security number is provided, your U.S. credit history can be used. You're welcome to fax the application to:
Attn: Credit Card Operations at 855-257-3388
Or, it can be mailed to:
TD Card Services
PO Box 1435
Deposit, NY 13754-9933
This information is also listed at the bottom of the application for your convenience, along with the credit card Terms and Conditions.
If you have any questions regarding this process, you're welcome to contact our TD Cross Border Team. They're available 24/7 and can be reached at 877-700-2913. You may also apply for a TD U.S. Credit Card at any TD Bank Store, if you'll be visiting U.S. in the near future. To find TD Store locations near you, please visit, http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Please note, at this time, if you were to get approved for a TD U.S. Credit Card, payments from a TD Canada Trust U.S. Dollar account will not be accepted, only payments from a U.S. based account will be accepted. You are welcome to open a U.S. based Checking account along with your U.S. based credit card however; then you can make no cost transfers from your TD Canada Trust account to your TD Bank U.S. account, and in turn pay your U.S. based Credit Card from your U.S. based Checking account.
You may also apply for a TD US Dollar Visa Card with our friends at TD Canada Trust and then make payments from your TD Canada Trust U.S. Dollar account. Please check out: http://bit.ly/17rTh9I for more information.
Hope this helps answer your question and have a nice day.
