I just opened a TD Bank account. How do I get a Debit Card? Also, we will want the new account to be Joint between myself and my wife. I presume that we must do this from a bank store.

Good afternoon, Wayne and thanks for visiting us on TD Helps! We understand the importance of convenient services for your banking and are glad to help.
You'll be happy to learn that it won't be necessary to visit a TD Bank Store to get a debit card for your account. We can send this out to your address on file if you give us a quick call or send us a secure message via your Online Banking profile!
If you're able, we invite you to call one of our knowledgeable Banking Specialists whenever it's convenient for you. They are available 24/7 at 888-751-9000, and can review your address and issue a card to you during your call.
You're also welcome to send us a Secure Message, if you'd prefer to complete your request online. To do so, please log in at http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. Once you have done so, locate the Customer Service tab at the top right, and then click on Send a Message. Please submit your inquiry and a friendly Representative will respond shortly. If you're not yet enrolled for Online Banking and you'd like to sign up, please give one of our Digital Banking Specialists a call 24/7 at 800-493-7562 and we'll be glad to help.
In order to add your wife to your account, it is usually necessary for both of you to step into a TD Bank location to make this update. As we notice that you're writing in from Canada, if you're not near a TD Bank US Store right now, we'd encourage you to contact your home branch to determine if they can provide another option. Please visit here: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find your Store location's contact info. If you are in the States at the moment, feel free to use the link to find a Store nearby your current location. While you're there, please keep in mind that our Visa debit cards can be issued during your visit, and you can leave with a card in hand! Please make sure both parties, including you, bring the following documents: a valid photo I.D. (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.) and Social Security number.
Just in case you're referring to your account at TD Canada Trust, please see here: http://bit.ly/1rWcPqs for information our teammate Sonia has provided about getting a Visa debit card for your TD Canada Trust account. And also see here: http://bit.ly/1043o0Q for information on adding your wife to your TD Canada Trust account. For any questions, you're more than welcome to reply to either of these, or post your own question at http://bit.ly/1kD3iFr.
We hope the options provided are helpful, Wayne! Feel free to reply with your questions and have a great day.

After contacting you, I received my Visa Debit Card in the mail and it has been activated. As for a second card for my wife, we plan to stop by a TD Bank AMCB store on our way down to Florida this December as we will have all the documentation needed to get her a card. Thank you for your response.
