Welcome to the TD Helps community, Rajiv. We appreciate your interest in TD Bank and it will be our pleasure to provide you with further details.
We'd like to start off by saying that as a non-US resident at this time, in order to open an account with us, it will be required for you to visit us at a TD Bank Store. If you are in the U.S. or will be in the near future, check out our Store locator for our hours and locations http://bit.ly/TDStores.
If you would like to open an account with us we invite you to review the many different types of Checking and Savings accounts we offer. To view and compare our Checking accounts, visit http://bit.ly/1aDaRqd or use our Checking selector tool http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU for help selecting a Checking account that is the best fit for you. To view and compare Savings account products, click on http://bit.ly/1pJT9I9, or if you prefer, we also have a Savings selector tool at http://bit.ly/1vW1DvM which can also help you choose the best Savings account for your needs.
When you are ready to visit a Store, as a non-US resident you will need to bring two forms of identification with you. One form of ID must be a valid non-US Passport and the second form of valid ID you may select from the list below:
- Employment ID with Photo and Signature
- State Issued ID or Driver's License with Signature
- Foreign Driver's License with Photo
- US Employment Authorization card with Photo, Signature and Expiration Date
- College ID with Photo
- Alien Registration Card with Photo
- Permanent Resident Card with Photo
Please note, it is highly recommended to contact the TD Store you will be visiting to open the account in advance to confirm if any other information will be needed.
Have a wonderful afternoon, Rajiv and let us know if you have any other questions.
