Can I cash a check that is made out to my maiden name?

If the check is only issued to you and you have a TD Bank deposit account (such as checking, savings, money market account), it can be cashed at any TD Bank location with your valid photo ID as long as you have sufficient funds in your account(s) to cover the amount of the check (at least equal to the amount of the money order, are available in your total of all your TD Bank accounts). If you are not currently a TD Bank customer and would like to cash a check drawn on TD Bank, you may still do so. There is a fee of $7.00 per check for this check cashing service. However, if you wish to open an account with us, this fee will be waived. Please note, at this time, Non-TD Customers may not cash non-TD Bank.

To get started, you'll need the following: Your Social Security number, One of the following: Driver's license, State ID, or Passport.
