We appreciate the visit, Kirsten. We'd be happy to help!
If the check you have is drawn off of a TD Bank account and is made payable to you, you're more than welcome to visit any TD Bank location and we would be able to cash the check for you. We do ask that you bring a valid photo ID (Driver's License, Passport, Military I.D. etc.). Please see: http://bit.ly/TDStores to find a TD Bank Store location nearby you.
Please note, there may be a fee of $7.00 for each check you'd like to cash if you're not a Customer at this time, please keep in mind that fees are subject to change.
If the check is only issued to you and you have a TD Bank deposit account (such as checking, savings, money market account), you can cash the check if it is drawn from TD Bank. If not, you can cash the check against your account as long as the funds are available in your account until the check clears.
You may also deposit the check into your account with one of our Tellers at any TD Bank Store. If you have been with TD Bank longer than 30 days, you will have $100 dollars available instantly and the remaining amount will clear at the earliest the following business day. If you have been with the bank less than 30 days, there will be nothing available immediately and it can take 7-10 business days to clear.
If you'd prefer, you can make an ATM deposit at one of our TD Bank locations. Deposits made through the ATM prior to 8:00 PM will be available the next banking day. Deposits made through the ATM after 8:00 PM will be considered the next business day and post the following business day. Any ATM transaction made after 8:00pm on Friday is Monday’s banking day and will post Tuesday morning. If Monday is a Federal holiday, the transaction will post Wednesday morning. However, the first $100.00 of your daily ATM deposits (cash or check) is immediately available for accounts opened 90 days or greater.
An ATM deposit made on Saturday will be considered Monday's banking day, and funds will generally be available Tuesday morning. We recommend reviewing our Personal Deposit Account Agreement http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ for you to view for more information. On pages 38-41 you can find our Funds Availability Policy along with information about when you'll have access to deposits.
We hope this helped answer your question, Kirsten. Let us know if you need anything else. Have a great day!
