I'm working at a summer camp near Plattsburgh, NY and will be paid by US dollar check at the end of the season. Can I walk into the bank, cash the check and send the money to an overseas account?

Thank you for reaching out to us on TD Helps, Matthew. We'll be happy to help you get set up to complete your transfer.
You are able to cash your check at any of our Store locations. Check cashing is a courtesy we offer our Customers free of charge. Being a non-customer, to cash a check that was written from a TD account there would be a $7.00 fee. Please note fees are subject to change. If your check is issued by TD Bank, you can cash as much as you want and deposit the rest at any TD Bank location with a valid photo ID, if you are a customer. If the check is not issued by TD Bank, you can still cash it if you have sufficient funds in your account(s) to cover the amount of the check.
To send an international wire is you will need the full name, address (including City), State/Province, Country and account number of the person/business you are sending money to (for Euro Zone countries – IBAN – International Banking Account Number). Also the full name and address, including City, State/Province and Country of the financial institution receiving the funds, plus of course the amount and currency of the transfer.
For more details on sending international wires please visit http://go.td.com/1oowsYN. When you are ready to send your international wire transfer, you will need to provide the foreign bank our SWIFT address, which is NRTHUS33XXX, as well as obtain their SWIFT address, which you can obtain by contacting the institution directly.
To send an outgoing international wire transfer, you may visit any TD Bank Store during lobby hours. For a listing of TD Bank Stores and hours, please visit: http://go.td.com/1WxWpIB. Keep in mind that wire transfer fees may apply, for our fee schedule follow this link: http://go.td.com/1cTejgt. We would also recommend checking with the other financial institution to ensure no other additional information is required as well as to obtain information regarding any additional fees for their services. And please note that we do not process or disburse funds from wire transfers received designated Pay Upon Proper Identification (PUPID) and return them to the sender.
We hope that this info helps out, Matthew. Let us know if you have any other questions.
