I do not have an account at TD bank but was told any bank would cash a federal tax return check. It is for less than $500. May I cash it at TD Bank?

Good evening Michele, we're happy to have you visit us on TD Helps tonight. If you are not currently a TD Bank Customer and would like to cash a check drawn off a TD Bank account, you are welcome to do so. Checks can be cashed provided there is no stop payment on the check and it is payable to an individual. We will ask you to provide valid photo identification (Driver's License, passport, State issued photo I.D. etc.) at the time of the check cashing. Please note that there is a fee of $7.00 per check for this check cashing service. Keep in mind that fees are subject to change. If you click here: http://bit.ly/TDStores, you can find the TD Bank Store and lobby hours nearest you. Just in case the check you wish to cash is not drawn on TD Bank and you are not an existing TD Customer, we apologize as we will not be able to cash non-TD Bank checks for non-Customers at this time. If you wish to open an account with us, the check-cashing fee mentioned above will be waived; and if the money order is not drawn on TD Bank, you'll then be able to negotiate it with us using your account. Once you have a TD Bank deposit account (such as Checking, Savings, Money Market account), checks not drawn on TD Bank can still be cashed at any TD Bank location with your valid photo ID as long as you have sufficient funds in your account to cover the amount of the check. We offer many different types of Checking and Savings accounts. You're welcome to review our Checking Accounts here: http://bit.ly/1oXjGgF, or use our Checking Selector at http://bit.ly/1vW1xnU. Our Savings products are listed here: http://bit.ly/1hzzhPT, or use our Savings Selector Tool at http://bit.ly/1sxY9Rd. If you wish to open a new account, you may click here: http://bit.ly/1uoX1R4 to take you directly to the account opening application. You may also feel free to call us directly 24/7 at 888-751-9000 with any questions you may have and set up your new account via telephone. Additionally, you are welcome to stop by your nearest TD Bank Store to speak with a Banking Specialist regarding new account options to determine what product type fits you the best. It was nice of you to stop by Michele and have a great night!
