I am moving to the Virgin Islands soon and would like to know if I can close my account online?

We'd like to let you know that we are committed to your satisfaction as a Customer. If you have any questions or concerns about your banking experiences, we invite you to discuss them with us at a TD Store. Please find your closest Store and lobby hours here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We do offer a few ways to close your account. If your account has a remaining balance, you are able to visit any TD Store during lobby hours for assistance. Please use the link above to determine a TD location near you. If you've already moved and have funds remaining in your account, you may request to close your account and have any available money in your account be sent to you by check. You can mail a request with the following instructions:
▪Your account number(s)
▪Your request to close the account(s)
▪Your current address
For your security, please have the letter notarized and mailed to your Home Store. You Home Store is the TD location you visited to open your account.
If you've already made a withdrawal to remove the funds from your savings account and your balance reflects $0.00, you are able to contact us directly to close the account. You are able to call our Banking Specialists 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000. After account verification, our Representatives will be glad to assist you. Similarly, you are able to visit a TD Store during lobby hours.
If you have already moved outside the country, you are able to contact us via telephone by dialing 856-751-9000. Additionally, you can call collect with operator's assistance from a landline at 215-569-0518.
If you are enrolled in Online Banking, you are able to send us a secure message to close the account as well. To send a secure message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://bit.ly/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center." If you would like to enroll, please feel free to call us using the number above or visit a TD Store.
