I have one independent set of checking/saving accounts and one that I opened jointly with my parents. Would it be possible to bring the funds I have in the saving/checking accounts with my parents into my independent account and shut down the joint account?

Thanks for your question, Sanchittha. We'd be glad to help!
Based on your question, it sounds as though you'd like to close your joint accounts and move the funds into your individual accounts. You're in luck! You are able to visit any TD Store, call us 24/7 by dialing 888-751-9000 or send us a secure message to do so!
To take a look at Store locations and their hours please visit http://go.td.com/1f9DSJR.
To send a secure message you must first logon to your TD Bank online profile. You can do so by clicking here: http://go.td.com/1eaISlq. On the left hand side, you should see an option to "Send a secure message" located in the “Message Center." Be sure to include the account numbers you'd like to close.
We hope to hear from you soon and have a good day!
