Thank you for submitting your question to TD Helps, Julie. We'll be happy to clear up some confusion regarding Mobile Deposit.
At this time, all checks submitted through the Mobile Deposit feature must be made with your name on it for it to be accepted. We do however have plenty of other options available to help with your deposit.
If Mobile Deposit is not an option for you, you can simple mail your deposit to the following address:
TD Bank, N.A. ME2-001-033 P.O. Box Number 1190 Lewiston, Maine 04243
The P.O. Box is checked daily and transactions are posted the same day. Also keep in mind that the TD Bank is not responsible for items lost in mail. Here are some additional tips to consider prior to mailing your deposit:
- Cash should not be sent through the mail - Payee of the check and name on deposit ticket should be the same - Checks should be endorsed (and restricted "for deposit only") - Multiple checks should be listed and a total of the deposit listed - Enclose the deposit ticket, not the carbon copy - If using a blank deposit ticket, please write the account number clearly - Do not staple transactions
When making check deposits by mail, the first $100.00 is made available immediately as soon as we receive the check. If you are a new account holder and your account has not been open for 30 consecutive days, Check Deposits can be held up to 7 business days for verification purposes. After this grace period, not only will the first $100.00 be made available at the time of deposit but the rest of the funds will credit to your account the following business day.
Additionally, feel free to make your deposit at any of our TD Bank Store locations. To find a Store near you, check out http://bit.ly/TDStores.
Reach out to us anytime and let us know if you have any other questions, Julie. Have a great night!
