We appreciate you joining us here on TD Helps, Jay! We're more than happy to help with your deposit.
If a check is valid and is made payable to you, you may deposit it to your TD Bank account. In general, TD Bank will provide you with the first $100 of your check deposit made with a teller available immediately. The rest of the funds are usually credited to your account on the following business day. If you are a new account holder and your account has not been open for 30 consecutive days, check deposits can be held for up to 7 business days for verification purposes.
Please keep in mind that there are instances in which checks can be held for extra time. For more information on funds availability and deposits that may be applied for longer delays, please take a look here for our Personal Deposit Account Agreement: http://bit.ly/1kb17UQ (pgs. 35 -38).
Additionally, we encourage you to discuss this option with your credit card provider to ensure you're aware of their terms which may apply for using the check. We also suggest reviewing your credit card account to be sure that the check was approved, prior to using the funds. Please also see our current Fee Schedule at http://bit.ly/1cTejgt for any fees which may apply if your deposited check is returned.
If you have any questions at all, our friendly Customer Service Representatives are available to help you 24/7 at 1-888-751-9000, or visit us at any TD Bank Store location. We're always glad to have you stop by and you can find a conveniently-located Store here: http://bit.ly/TDStores.
We hope this clears it up, Jay! Please come by again and have a great day.
